Welcome to the inaugural issue of DistilNFO GovHealth — The executive’s information source for understanding the nexus of healthcare, technology and the public sector.
I’m sure that many of you are saying, “Why do I need another on-line publication devoted to government health when my inbox already overflows with industry news and noise?”
We all face information overload in this market sector and the amazing team behind DistilNFO GovHealth provides a solution. We will bring signal to the noise and meaning to the proliferating data from rapidly evolving technology, healthcare delivery and payment systems and the central role local, state and federal government are playing in the transformation of this increasingly important component of our economy and public life.
DistilNFO is different in important ways.
First, the team leading the publication — Patrick Munis – CEO of NewWave, Susheel Ladwa – CEO of DistilNFO, and myself, are all leaders in the health IT space and have developed and implemented numerous health systems, both large-scale and human-scale. We bring a unique perspective to the issues and challenges that each of you face every day. We will use a singular combination of algorithm-based, human subject matter experts and thought-leader curation to provide a uniquely valuable source of information.
Second, this publication is going to emphasize innovation. We live at a unique time of change and DistilNFO will bring you new perspectives and ideas before they become mainstream, providing new insights, applications and intellectual provocations that you can’t find elsewhere. Much of our focus will be to introduce you to diverse, innovative companies that you probably haven’t heard of — but who may become the Google or Amazon of tomorrow.
Third, our focus is not just on the publication as an end-in-itself. As important is our goal in defining, shaping and strengthening the Government Health Community. Each of you — whether government employee, contractor, or stakeholder – play a critical role in supporting the healthcare needs of all Americans at this critical moment in this debate.
In the coming months we will be discussing opportunities to help you engage with us to help improve the meaning, value and efficiency of “government healthcare” because, ultimately, we are all dependent on its success, whether at the federal, state or local levels.
Thanks again for subscribing to our publication. Please drop us a note to let us know what you like and what we can do to improve. We value your input and will use it to make our content more meaningful to you and the community.
