NewWave believes that the technologies of augmented and artificial intelligence, machine and deep learning hold great promise, but are also part of what Gartner calls the “Hype Cycle” of emerging technologies.
Building on our trusted relationship with the federal government–providing leading-edge technology solutions for over a decade – NewWave has established a Knowledge Engineering Practice (KEP) and an Intelligent Automation/Artificial Intelligence (IAAI) Center of Excellence (CoE) to set the standard for evaluating, acquiring and using these emergent technologies. NewWave’s KEP and CoE are designed precisely to audit and advise our customers if and how IAAI technical solutions are applicable and then to provide prototypes and model solutions and best practices independent of the cycle of hype.
We have partnered with multiple academic institutions including Virginia Tech’s Department of Computer Science and Discovery Analytics Center, the New Jersey Innovation Institute, the University of Maryland, Baltimore County’s Department of Information Systems and the University of Buffalo’s Ontology Research Group to provide state-of-the-art expertise and practice-of-innovation in the era of human-machine interaction.
